We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor/Manager to join a key project in Avonmouth, Bristol. This position will involve overseeing safety measures for ongoing repair works on a construction site, ensuring that all activities are compliant with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Management: Lead and manage health and safety activities for repair works on the site.
- Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS): Prepare, review, and approve RAMS for all tasks associated with the project.
- Confined Space & Working at Height: Oversee and enforce safe systems of work for confined space entry and working at height.
- Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Training & Toolbox Talks: Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel are trained and competent for their tasks.
- Incident Management: Investigate and report any incidents or near misses, implementing preventive measures and lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar health and safety role, ideally within industrial or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, confined space entry, and working at height.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar health and safety qualification.
- In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience delivering training and safety briefings.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
