RG Set square is looking for a skilled and reliable Passive Fire Protection Installer to join our team.
You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining passive fire protection systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, ensuring all work complies with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Install fire stopping systems, including penetration seals, linear joint seals, cavity barriers, and fire-rated boards.
Carry out fire compartmentation works in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Install and repair fire doors, fire-resistant walls, ceilings, and associated passive fire protection products where required.
Conduct inspections and identify defects in existing passive fire protection systems.
Complete installation reports, photographic records, and compliance documentation.
Ensure all work is completed to relevant fire safety standards and building regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment while following company health and safety procedures.
Work independently and as part of a team across multiple project sites.
Requirements
Previous experience in passive fire protection or fire stopping installation.
Good understanding of fire compartmentation principles and passive fire protection systems.
Experience using a range of fire stopping products and installation methods.
Blue CSCS card (required).
NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection or equivalent (preferred).
FIRAS, BM TRADA, or other recognised passive fire protection accreditation (advantageous).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
