About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead Electrician to take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a small on-site electrical team within a large, high-profile facility. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with team coordination, compliance, and client engagement.
You will lead a team of electricians, allocate and manage workload, ensure jobs are completed within agreed KPIs, and maintain high standards of safety, performance, and service delivery across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small electrical team, allocating work and ensuring completion within KPIs
- Act as the main point of contact for job updates, keeping the CMMS and client informed
- Review RAMS, write and manage Permits to Work, and ensure all tasks comply with site Safe Systems of Work
- Attend client meetings as required and provide technical input and updates
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and lighting systems
- Carry out and supervise installations, repairs, and replacements of electrical components including motors, controls, wiring, lighting, pumps, fans, and associated systems
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated safely and compliantly
- Review maintenance history and help develop proactive inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance schedules
- Deliver a reliable, customer-focused service in a fast-paced operational environment
- Lead by example, supporting team development and maintaining high standards of workmanship and behaviour
What We're Looking For
- Electrical qualification via apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent
- 3-4+ years of relevant electrical experience in a commercial or industrial environment
- Previous experience supervising or leading a small team
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, compliance, and safe working practices
- Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and managing permits and risk assessments
- Confident using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work on-site full time and meet the physical requirements of the role (including lifting, climbing, and manual tasks)
