Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Glasgow

Location: Glasgow Salary: Up to Β£40,000 per annum + Overtime + Excellent Benefits Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the facilities maintenance team on a prestigious static site in Glasgow.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional facilities management environment, maintaining a wide range of building services.

Working as part of an established engineering team, you will carry out both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance to ensure all electrical systems and associated plant operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical building services.
  • Maintain and fault-find on lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, and control systems.
  • Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment and installations.
  • Support maintenance of HVAC plant, pumps, motors, BMS controls, and other mechanical plant where required.
  • Complete statutory compliance checks and ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Accurately complete maintenance records using a CAFM system.
  • Liaise professionally with the client and other members of the engineering team to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Candidate Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
  • Experience working within commercial building or facilities maintenance environments.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance procedures.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
