A growing M&E contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Supervisor to support the delivery of a high-volume small works and minor projects portfolio. This is a site-based role covering projects across the Midlands through to the South Coast, including London and surrounding areas. The position suits a hands-on mechanical professional who can take ownership on site, oversee operatives and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
- Supervising mechanical small works projects across multiple live sites
- Overseeing day-to-day site activity including labour, subcontractors, and materials
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and H&S standards
- Supporting Project Managers with progress updates, site coordination, and issue resolution
- Carrying out site inspections, toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with method statements and risk assessments
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders on site
About You
- Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor or Lead Engineer position
- Strong mechanical background (HVAC, pipework, plant, maintenance, or install)
- Experience working on small works, maintenance, or fast-paced project environments
- Comfortable managing multiple jobs or moving between sites as required
- Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
