About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join our construction team delivering refurbishment, planned maintenance and lifecycle replacement projects for a leading Housing Association across Islington and North London. This role is responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring that design information is coordinated, compliant, buildable and delivered in line with programme, budget and client expectations.
Project Delivery: Support the successful delivery of refurbishment and planned works projects including:
- External envelope refurbishment
- Window and door replacement
- Roofing renewals
- Fire safety improvement works
- FRA remedial works
- Internal communal refurbishments
- Kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes
- Mechanical and electrical upgrades
- Lift replacement projects
- Decarbonisation and retrofit works
- Building fabric improvements
- Lifecycle asset replacement programmes
Programme Management: Produce and maintain design programmes. Monitor consultant deliverables. Ensure procurement schedules align with design release dates. Identify programme risks and implement mitigation strategies.
