We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management organisation supporting a large, high-profile public sector estate. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a professional building services environment, helping to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of critical electrical systems across a diverse and complex site.
Working as part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance services, ensuring operational continuity and compliance across the estate.
What you'll be doing:- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems and building services equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime
- Maintaining lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control systems, and associated electrical infrastructure
- Supporting small installation projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement works
- Completing compliance documentation and maintenance records accurately
- Working collaboratively with the wider FM engineering team to deliver high standards of service
- Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns within a busy operational environment
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with statutory regulations and Health & Safety requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within Facilities Management, Building Services, or a similar maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of electrical systems and maintenance best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive approach with a strong safety-first mindset
- Experience working within public sector environments
- Experience supporting large or complex estates
- Knowledge of compliance-driven maintenance environments
