Our client, a tier 1 Main Contractor, recently secured a significant civil engineering project in South Devon and is looking for an experienced Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate activities of multiple stakeholders on a high‑profile site with extensive public interface and media interest.
  • Oversee day‑shift operations on site, liaising with the client and ensuring smooth running and coordination of barges, rock drops and other tidal works in line with MMO.
  • Provide short‑ and medium‑term planning and oversee quality control to guarantee productive, efficient and safe progress of site activities.
  • Support supply chain of onshore sub‑contractors and handle some smaller civil elements such as piling, concrete works and in‑situ stairs.

Qualifications

  • Engineering background with a relevant Civil Engineering qualification.
  • Previous experience in coastal or tidal works, including completion of at least one coastal scheme.
  • Contractual astuteness and ability to work on a double‑tide contract.
