A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Development Engineer to join a reputable regional housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments across Yorkshire.
You'll join a supportive and collaborative technical team, playing a key role in managing the engineering aspects of new housing projects from land appraisal through to site completion. This role would suit someone with 1-3 years' experience in civil engineering or residential development who's looking to grow their career within a well-structured business that values development, balance, and flexibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with engineering appraisals during land feasibility and acquisition stages
- Support the coordination of external consultants for highways, drainage, and infrastructure design
- Help manage technical approvals (S38, S104, S278) and liaise with relevant authorities
- Coordinate utility designs and service connections for new developments
- Provide technical support to construction teams during the build phase
- Ensure compliance with local authority, NHBC, and company standards
