Design Manager – Building Projects\\n\\nLocation: Hertfordshire\\n Salary: Up to 70k\\n\\nAbout the Role\\n\\nWe are seeking a Design Manager to lead the on-site design process at RIBA Stage 4 & 5 (Technical Design and Construction). You will manage design teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\nLead and coordinate design teams, subcontractors, and consultants\\nMonitor design progress against project programmes and KPIs\\nEstablish and manage project data, workflows, and Common Data Environment (CDE)\\nPrepare Design Management Plans (DMP) and BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and monitor compliance\\nManage post-contract design changes, risks, and approvals\\nReview and approve design documentation, drawings, reports, and certificates\\nChair design workshops and record outcomes\\nEnsure coordination, buildability, and compliance of all designs\\nAssist with technical submissions, Planning Conditions, and Building Regulations\\nArchive final design documentation and produce lessons learnt reportsIdeal Candidate\\n\\nStrong experience managing building project designs, ideally in technical fit-out or construction environments\\nConfident leading design teams and liaising with subcontractors\\nExcellent project coordination, organisational, and communication skills\\nKnowledge of RIBA stages, CDM, BREEAM, and design risk management \\n\\nRG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
