A leading global facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Data Centre Engineering Supervisor to join a high-performance critical environment team at a brand-new hyperscale site in Slough. This is a key leadership role within a live Tier III data centre, responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and uninterrupted operation of all electrical and mechanical infrastructure supporting business-critical services.
You will act as the technical escalation point on shift, leading engineers, coordinating specialist subcontractors, and overseeing HV/LV operations, critical cooling systems, UPS/generator infrastructure, and planned/reactive maintenance activities. The role also carries responsibility for permit-to-work control, RAMS review, compliance documentation, training and mentoring engineers, and maintaining 100% uptime across critical systems.

- Salary: £66,000 + 8% client bonus
- Hours: Monday-Friday | 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise on-site engineering teams in a live critical environment
- Act as HV Authorised Person (or work towards AP status if required)
- Oversee UPS, generators, cooling, and LV/HV systems
- Manage permits, RAMS, switching schedules, and compliance documentation
- Act as escalation point for incidents and technical faults
- Deliver coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership to engineers
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and client SLA standards
- Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
We are looking for someone with:
- Electrical qualification (apprenticeship / NVQ / C&G / HND)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Strong background in data centres or critical environments
- Proven experience leading engineers or shift teams
- HV/LV operational experience
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
