We are looking for an experienced Technical/ Hard Services Manager with a strong electrical and technical background to join the team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician who has progressed into a supervisory or management position, bringing strong technical knowledge alongside proven leadership experience within commercial buildings or a similar facilities management environment. You will support the day-to-day operation of the site, manage frontline teams and contractors, monitor service performance and ensure high standards of health & safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage and coordinate day-to-day facilities operations across the site. Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, team leaders and frontline staff. Use your electrical background and technical knowledge to support operational decision-making and identify potential issues. Monitor and understand Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond appropriately to alarms, faults and building performance issues. Ensure services are delivered in line with agreed KPIs and SLAs. Manage resources effectively to meet daily operational requirements. Lead operational briefings and effective shift/service handovers. Act as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders and contractors. Manage operational issues, incidents and escalations. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, safe systems of work and site procedures. Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance checks. Maintain accurate operational, incident and compliance records. Support continuous improvement across building and facilities services. Ensure contractors and internal teams work safely and to the required standards. Essential Experience & Qualifications The successful candidate should have: Electrical qualification / recognised electrical trade background. Previous hands-on experience working as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer before progressing into management. Proven supervisory, team leadership or facilities management experience. Strong experience working within commercial buildings / large estates. Good working knowledge and practical experience of BMS (Building Management Systems). Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and statutory compliance. Knowledge of CDM 2015 (Construction Design and Management Regulations). IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification or strong relevant health & safety knowledge. Experience managing contractors, operational teams and multiple workstreams. Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to make confident decisions and resolve issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
