We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a leading UK Facilities Management company on a prestigious, high-profile site in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical commercial environment, offering long-term stability, exposure to a flagship contract, and clear career progression.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical systems
- Fault finding and repairing electrical systems and associated controls
- Supporting maintenance of HVAC systems, lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, UPS systems, and plant equipment
- Responding promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and site compliance standards
- Updating maintenance logs and completing all relevant documentation accurately
- Liaising professionally with the client and working closely with the wider engineering team
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively within a shift team on a critical site
- Good communication and client-facing skills
Desirable:
- Experience working within critical environments (e.g. banking, data centres, high-profile commercial buildings)
- HV/LV knowledge or switching experience
Shift Pattern:
- 4 days on, 6 days off
- 4 nights on, 4 days off
- 3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 days off
Shift Times:
- Days: 07:00 – 19:00
- Nights: 19:00 – 07:00
- Average 42 hours per week (1-hour unpaid break per shift)
