We're Hiring: Mobile Electrical Engineer 🚐🔧⚡ 📍 London 💷 R47,000 per annum 🕒 Full-Time | Permanent ⏰ 40 Hours Per Week 🏢 Facilities Management | Hard FM | Electrical Engineering | M&E | Secure Environment | Critical Infrastructure We are recruiting for an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join a professional Facilities Management engineering team supporting a large, secure and technically complex environment in London. ⚡ This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer with strong M&E maintenance and fault-finding experience who is looking to work within a unique and highly secure environment. 🏢 The successful candidate will work as part of a small engineering team operating across multiple buildings within a large complex, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs. 🚐 A full driving licence is essential, as engineers will be required to travel between facilities across the site. A vehicle and all necessary tools and equipment will be provided. 🔧 The role will involve working independently and as part of a team to ensure electrical and mechanical systems remain safe, reliable, compliant and operational, while maintaining excellent standards of Health & Safety and customer service. 🔧 Responsibilities & Duties • ⚡ Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across multiple buildings and facilities. • 🚨 Respond proactively to reactive maintenance requests, breakdowns and faults. • 🔍 Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, diagnostics and effective repairs. • 🛠️ Inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems, equipment, plant and associated building services. • ⚙️ Undertake M&E maintenance activities within areas of competence and qualification. • 🔌 Carry out electrical maintenance, repairs and minor works as required. • 🏗️ Support general building services maintenance across multiple facilities. • 🚐 Travel between buildings and facilities across the secure site as required. • 🧠 Work independently when diagnosing faults and resolving maintenance issues. • 👥 Work collaboratively with other engineers and members of the wider facilities team. • 📋 Complete planned and reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales and to the required standard. • 🛡️ Work in accordance with statutory requirements, Health & Safety procedures, site rules and safe systems of work. • 📑 Follow relevant risk assessments, RAMS, permits and other safe working procedures. • 🦺 Correctly use PPE, tools, equipment and access equipment in accordance with relevant requirements. • 🔐 Maintain high standards of security and compliance when working within a highly secure environment. • 👷 Escort subcontractors and external contractors while they are working on site, ensuring site procedures and security requirements are followed. • 🤝 Liaise professionally with site contacts, management, contractors, colleagues and other stakeholders. • 📞 Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues to minimise disruption to site operations. • 📝 Maintain accurate written and electronic records of all maintenance activities undertaken. • 💻 Update CAFM and other maintenance systems with accurate job information, findings and completion details where required. • 📊 Report faults, defects, equipment issues and potential risks to the appropriate management team. • 🔍 Identify recurring faults and maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions. • 📈 Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance standards, equipment reliability and service delivery. • 🗂️ Ensure all relevant paperwork, maintenance records and technical documentation are completed accurately and on time. • ⏱️ Complete allocated jobs within agreed response and completion times. • 🚨 Respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations and urgent engineering requirements. • 🛠️ Undertake other reasonable engineering and maintenance duties relevant to the role and level of responsibility. 👨‍🔧 Requirements • ⚡ Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mobile Electrical Engineer, M&E Engineer, Building Services Engineer or similar. • 🎓 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. • 🔧 Proven experience within an M&E engineering or Facilities Management environment. • ⚡ Strong electrical maintenance experience. • ⚙️ Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services. • 🔍 Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. • 🛠️ Proven experience carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance. • 📋 Good understanding of maintenance procedures and safe working practices. • 🛡️ Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements within an engineering environment. • 📑 Understanding of RAMS, risk assessments, permits and safe systems of work. • 🚗 Full driving licence – essential. • 🚐 Ability and willingness to drive between multiple buildings and facilities within the site. • 👁️ Must have full colour vision and must not be colour blind, due to site driving and safety requirements. • 🇬🇧 UK National – essential. • 🔐 Developed Vetting (DV) clearance – mandatory. • 📍 Must have a 10-year UK footprint to meet security clearance requirements. • 💻 Ability to accurately complete electronic maintenance records and job documentation. • 🗣️ Strong verbal and written communication skills. • 🤝 Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. • 🧠 Proactive approach to fault finding, problem solving and environment. • 🔐 Previous experience working on sites requiring security clearance. • 🏛️ Experience working within government, defence, critical infrastructure or similarly secure environments. • ⚡ Strong electrical installation, maintenance and repair experience. • ⚙️ Multi-skilled M&E engineering experience. • 🔍 Strong experience with electrical fault finding and diagnostics. • 🏢 Experience maintaining multiple buildings within a large estate. • 🚐 Previous mobile engineering experience. • 💻 Experience using CAFM or computerised maintenance management systems. • 👷 Experience escorting subcontractors or contractors within secure environments. • 🛡️ Experience working within environments with stringent Health & Safety and compliance requirements. • 📘 Additional electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. • 🔌 Experience with LV electrical systems and associated building services. • ⚙️ Additional mechanical engineering or building services
