Hours: 35 Hours a week - 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with 1-hour unpaid break per day/ 3 days in the office

Payrate: £33.81 PAYE - £37 Umbrella

Job Duties:

  • Team leadership and delivery
  • Manage, support and develop the function to deliver high quality and consistent services.
  • Develop and build capability in the team.
  • Determine priorities and allocate resources to ensure timely delivery work and services.
  • Work with the HR Services Manager to co-ordinate effective use of resources as required.
  • Set standards and embed a culture of accuracy, customer service and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide cover for the HR Services Manager and support key activities across HR services, administration and compliance as required.

Process improvement and systems:

  • Ensure HR processes are continuously reviewed and identify opportunities for simplification, automating and/or improving service delivery.
  • Work with the HR digital and insight team to optimise HRIS functionality and improve data accuracy.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and reduce risk.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives across HR.

HR administration and support:

  • Manage and deliver a HR administration service including procurement and purchasing, invoice payment, meeting management and minute taking.
  • Set standards and monitor the quality of the service, providing regular reports and insights on trends and performance.
  • Assist with budget management and lead on regular housekeeping activities.
  • Ensure all letters, documentation and other communication are accurate and well written and there is effective record keeping in place.
  • Manage and deliver a timely service to support organisational change and TUPE activities, alongside the HR Services Manager.
  • Manage the HR SharePoint hub and data retention activities.

People establishment and payroll:

  • Ensure the HRIS is appropriately configured to meet our needs, and that people data and the staffing establishment is accurate at all times.
  • Provide reports and establishment insights to inform workforce planning.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data input for each monthly payroll ensuring all actions are taken within payroll deadlines.
  • Manage key payroll/pay activities such as the annual pay award and budget setting.

Compliance, risk, governance and audit:

  • Ensure compliance with areas such as DBS, Right to Work and SM&CR and that statutory requirements are consistently met.
