We're looking for a Data Protection Compliance Officer.

The Role at a Glance:

  • Location: London, N1
  • Pay rate: £26.03 PAYE or £34.42 Umbrella
  • Paid on a weekly basis
  • Role Details: 2 days per week in the office (Mondays and Wednesdays) and the remainder remote, Hours: 35 hours per week / hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Data Protection Manager in achieving GDPR and data protection compliance.
  • Undertake data protection activities in line with legislation and policies including security incidents and Data Subject Rights.
  • Provide advice to the business on all data protection matters including data sharing agreements, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and action plans.
  • Activities supporting GDPR and data protection compliance.
  • Analysis and reporting of compliance.
  • Ensure UK GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 compliance through SAR processing, RoPA maintenance (100+ activities across housing operations), breach investigations/ICO reporting, DPIAs, policy/stakeholder advice, and team coordination.
  • Reports to Acting Data Protection Manager.

Qualification:

  • Experience of investigation and resolution of problems.
  • Experience of providing reports and internal communications for a range of audiences including senior management.
  • Experience of working in a data protection function.
  • Able to provide timely and accurate advice and support to the wider business and managers about data protection related matters.
  • Good knowledge of data protection including GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and related legislation e.g., Privacy of electronic communications.
