We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join the cleaning team at Chapel-en-le-Frith High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors while adhering to all health and safety regulations. This role is ideal for someone with previous commercial or school cleaning experience who takes pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets, changing rooms, and communal areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors.
- Dust and wipe desks, furniture, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
- Replenish toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and other consumables.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, following COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, or damages to the Site Manager.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly after use.
- Lock or secure designated areas where required.
- Work independently and as part of the cleaning team to meet daily cleaning schedules.
- Essential: Previous cleaning experience (school, commercial, healthcare, or office cleaning preferred).
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check before employment).
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
