I am currently recruiting for a supervisor / small works manager for a main contractor based in Bedfordshire to work on multiple small council works for existing properties within the Bedford area on an ongoing contract. Projects range from £5k up to £50k, including new kitchens and bathrooms, re-plastering, new electrical works, and external refurbishment.
We are looking for a candidate who has ideally worked within the housing and refurbishment sector. My client is offering a competitive day rate with travel and is looking to start the candidate ASAP.
Key duties:- Manage multiple small works housing projects simultaneously from scope of works through to completion and handover
- Plan, programme, and coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on time
- Liaise with residents
- Work closely with the Council surveyors
- Carry out site visits, progress reviews, and snagging inspections
