Role Overview:
RG Setsquare is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Rig Operator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trades person to contribute to high-quality work and projects in a supportive, safety-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control the machinery that drills into the ground, including handling the drilling rig, rotary table, mud pumps, and other complex systems.
- Ensure the equipment is functioning properly by performing regular checks and maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical failure.
- Monitor the drilling process to ensure everything is running smoothly, checking pressure levels, drilling speed, and depth.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimise the risks of accidents and be aware of emergency procedures, including dealing with fires, gas leaks, or equipment malfunctions.
Requirements:
- Prior traffic Rig Operator experience and valid CPCS/NPORS, A74 ticket, Health & Safety card (taken within the last 2 years) required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to high-quality work.
