Head of Operations
West Yorkshire | Competitive Salary + Package
A growing multi-utility contractor is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of projects across its expanding portfolio.
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for operational performance across multiple utility disciplines, including power, gas, water, telecoms and associated infrastructure works.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting business growth and developing high-performing teams across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operational delivery of all projects across the business.
Manage operational teams, supervisors and project delivery personnel.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Drive performance, utilisation and productivity across operational teams.
Work closely with commercial teams to maximise project profitability.
Develop operational processes, procedures and best practice.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, framework partners and stakeholders.
Support business growth and future expansion plans.
Develop and mentor management teams across the business.
Ensure compliance with all industry, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
Requirements
Proven operational leadership experience within utilities, infrastructure or civil engineering.
Strong understanding of multi-utility delivery environments.
Experience managing large operational teams across multiple workstreams.
Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to drive performance whilst maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Previous experience in a senior operational management position.
