The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Tendering Engineer to join a growing Electrical Networks & Infrastructure team. This role will be responsible for preparing and managing tenders, estimates, and proposals for electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality submissions for both new and existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage tenders, quotations, and project cost estimates.
- Review customer requirements and develop competitive technical and commercial proposals.
- Work closely with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Business Development teams, and clients.
- Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify project risks and ensure all proposals meet technical and commercial requirements.
- Support and mentor junior Tendering Engineers.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with company procedures.
- Participate in project handovers and lessons learned reviews.
Requirements
Essential
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience preparing tenders and cost estimates within electrical infrastructure, utilities, or power sectors.
- Strong understanding of HV and LV electrical installations and switchgear.
- Experience working on electrical systems up to 33kV.
- Knowledge of DNO and non-regulated electrical networks.
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience within utilities, power distribution, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
- Strong customer-focused approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
