A leading Global Facilities Management company is currently seeking multiple experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join their team on a prestigious hospital contract in Birmingham. These are additional roles to the existing team. The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a large hospital site, ensuring all mechanical systems and plant equipment remain fully operational and compliant. You will work within a busy healthcare environment where attention to detail, reliability, and a strong understanding of building services maintenance are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Maintaining and repairing mechanical plant and building services systems
- Working on pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, valves, HVAC systems, and associated equipment
- Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical issues efficiently
- Supporting compliance and ensuring all work is completed to required standards
- Liaising with the site engineering team and client representatives
- Ensuring health & safety procedures are always followed
- Completing maintenance reports and documentation accurately
Requirements
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or equivalent
- Previous experience within commercial maintenance or facilities management
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Experience working within critical environments is advantageous
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
Desirable:
- Hospital or healthcare maintenance experience
- AP knowledge
- Multi-skilled experience
