General Overview: To undertake the water system planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown maintenance and other maintenance related activities to the Estate. Working on a day shift from (Apply online only), Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
- To perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) tasks as required or directed by management.
- To be knowledgeable of and to work to ACoP L8 & HTM04-01.
- To be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory.
- To have a knowledge of water systems within a commercial/healthcare environment and maintenance/testing activities.
- To have a knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens.
- To undertake temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, TMV servicing, buffer vessel blow downs, to name a few.
- Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision.
- Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions.
- Maintain records and logbooks, ensuring they are kept up to date and available for inspection.
- To record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system.
- To assist in ensuring that immediate corrective action is taken in the event of emergencies, so that the Trusts/client needs are met, to avoid danger to people, property, and service provision.
- To undertake additional and continual training in job skills and techniques that may be required to meet personal and organisational aims.
- To undertake any other duties as requested by Management, to comply with Equans contact and KPI's.
- To participate in the Equans appraisal system.
- After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP's, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces.
- To be contacted by radio and/or PDA to receive instructions. This can involve frequent disruption to work patterns.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
- Previous experience of working within a health care environment (desirable).
- NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing.
- Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training.
- Must have EUSR (Blue) Water Hygiene Card.
