I am currently working with a contractor who is in need of a fabric maintenance engineer across NHS sites in South London. This role is paying £19-£20 (UMB) + van and fuel card, and is an ongoing temporary position with the opportunity to go permanent.

The role will involve:

  • General maintenance such as minor flooring repairs
  • Door repairs (changing closers, locks etc.)
  • Blocked drainage
  • Water leaks
  • Changing lamps

This is a mobile role across 15 NHS sites. Hours are 8am - 5pm (40 hours per week, with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break). There is no requirement to be on-call whilst temporary.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A plumbing or carpentry qualification would be beneficial
  • Experience working in an FM (Facilities Management) role
  • Experience working in a hospital, other healthcare environment or other critical environment would be desirable
  • A Standard DBS certificate will need to be obtained
  • A full UK driving licence (No more than 6 points and no driving ban within the past 6 months)
