Key Duties:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling cracks or holes.
- Apply primer, paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications.
- Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures with drop cloths, masking tape, and plastic coverings.
- Remove old paint, wallpaper, and damaged coatings before repainting.
- Operate and maintain painting tools, ladders, scaffolding, and spray equipment safely.
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality, smoothness, and color consistency.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
