We\’re seeking an Asset Management Lead to take ownership of asset strategy, drive performance, and guide a talented team – ensuring homes are maintained to exceptional standards while delivering real value and sustainability.
The Role
As Asset Management Lead, you\’ll:
Lead, support, and develop a team of three Asset Managers – promoting growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement the Asset Management Strategy, annual budgets, and long-term investment programmes.
Ensure homes are safe, well-maintained, and fully compliant with all regulatory and health & safety standards.
Oversee contract management, procurement, and performance delivery to achieve value for money.
Collaborate closely with the Repairs, Compliance, and Neighbourhood Services teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Support the organisation\’s progress toward Net Zero and future sustainability goals.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management, offering the opportunity to make a tangible difference to people\’s homes and lives.
Travel requirement:
You\’ll need to spend 2-3 days per week on site in the Scottish Borders. If you\’re based in or around Glasgow, please note this involves around a two-hour commute each way, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential.
About You
You\’ll bring:
3-5 years\’ experience in asset management and property maintenance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of housing, construction, and compliance standards, including SHQS, EESSH, and Health & Safety regulations.
Proven success in team development, budget management, and contract performance.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
A relevant professional qualification such as MIAM, MRICS, RIBA, or CIAT – or the willingness to work towards one.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
