Role Overview
RG Setsquare is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Asphault Laying Operative to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trades person to contribute to high-quality construction and refurbishment projects in a supportive, safety-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for site preparation and clearing debris, preparing the foundation (grading and installing the base), and setting up temporary traffic management systems (cones, barriers, signs).
- Ensuring maintenance and repair and cutting away damaged road surfaces with tools like pneumatic drills, installing street ironworks (like manholes), and performing routine maintenance on equipment.
- Ensuring the work site complies with safety regulations and adhering to strict health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures to protect themselves, their colleagues, and the public.
Requirements
- Prior Asphault Laying Operative experience and valid CSCS ticket required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
