I am working with a specialist high profile employment law practice on an excellent opportunity for career development and progression. Our client is looking to recruit an Employment lawyer wishing to take an active role within a well recognised employment law team in the heart of Legal London.

The successful candidate will operate across the full spectrum of employment law — advising corporate and private clients on contentious and non-contentious matters, conducting their own Employment Tribunal caseload (with appropriate supervision and support), and functioning as a trusted strategic adviser on HR and people management issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employment Tribunal Practice
    • Managing a caseload of Employment Tribunal claims.
    • Conducting or assisting at hearings, including substantive merit hearings and preliminary hearings.
    • Drafting ET1s, ET3s, schedules of loss, witness statements, and where appropriate skeleton arguments to a high standard.
    • Advising on litigation strategy, prospects, and settlement at all stages.
  • Corporate and HR Advisory
    • Advising employer clients on the full range of employment law issues including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, and performance management.
    • Providing strategic HR advice that goes beyond legal compliance to consider commercial and reputational risk.
    • Supporting clients on complex workforce restructuring and change management programmes (including both individual and collective redundancy).
    • Advising on executive exits, settlement agreements, and restrictive covenant disputes.
Person Specification
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with approximately four years' PQE in employment law (England and Wales).
  • Demonstrable experience of running Employment Tribunal cases.
  • Experience advising both employer and employee/individual clients.
  • Track record of advising on strategic HR matters in addition to day-to-day employment issues.

A high-quality caseload with real responsibility from day one. Genuine career progression within a structured and supportive environment. Involvement in thought leadership, training, and business development activity. Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.
