The Role
As a Stores Person / Production Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are produced accurately, safely and on time. You'll be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining quality standards and supporting production activities across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality and is willing to learn new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily machine start-up and Health & Safety checks using S2B tablets
- Process work orders generated by the internal sales team
- Operate, set up and maintain production machinery
- Ensure production schedules and operational procedures are met
- Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment
- Perform first-off, every tenth and final product checks
- Read and work to drawings and specifications
- Report any quality concerns before production continues
- Keep machinery and work areas clean and organised
- Follow all Health & Safety and ISO standards
- Report machinery faults, hazards or near misses
- Use hand tools when required
- Assemble products and components as needed
- Recycle waste materials correctly
- Provide driver cover when required
- Support other production departments during busy periods, holidays or absences
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong numerical and IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work accurately
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
- FLT Counterbalance Licence
- Previous production or manufacturing experience
