Hyphose, part of the R&G Fluid Power Group, is looking for a Trade Counter & Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team in Poole.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a hands-on environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. You'll split your time between serving customers at our trade counter and supporting warehouse operations, helping to ensure products are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately.

What You'll Be Doing
Trade Counter & Customer Service
- Deliver outstanding customer service to trade counter visitors
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable solutions
- Record enquiries, source parts and prepare quotations
- Carry out repairs to customer equipment
- Maintain professional standards and a well-stocked trade counter
- Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
Warehouse Operations
- Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently
- Check incoming goods and report any shortages or damages
- Store, label and organise stock accurately
- Pick and pack customer orders for UK and export shipments
- Prepare pallets and parcels for dispatch
- Arrange shipping through approved carriers and complete relevant paperwork
Stock Control
- Maintain accurate stock records
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory counts
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organised and safe
General Duties
- Follow Health & Safety and security procedures
- Report near misses and potential hazards
- Update company systems with relevant customer and stock information
- Support the wider branch team as required
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous warehouse experience
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Reliable, organised and adaptable
Desirable
- Experience in a customer-facing or trade counter role
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing or distribution environments
Don't worry if you don't have an FLT licence - training can be provided for the right candidate.
