This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or engineering background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment. You will be joining one of the UK’s leading fluid power specialists, working with high-quality hydraulic hose assemblies, fittings, and engineering products while receiving ongoing support and training.
The Role
- Support the preparation, assembly, testing, and dispatch of hydraulic hose assemblies to customer specifications.
- Assist with stock control, trade counter support, and occasional van deliveries when required.
This role would suit someone who is practical, organised, and eager to learn new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare hoses and fittings to customer requirements
- Assemble and test hose assemblies to specification
- Follow manufacturing procedures and quality standards
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas
- Use safety equipment correctly and follow all Health & Safety procedures
- Support stock orders and despatch activities
- Report faults, damages, or failures to management
- Work independently and as part of a small team
- Serve customers at the trade counter when required
- Use the company ERP system for order processing and customer support
- Carry out occasional van deliveries when needed
- Attend training courses and development sessions as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience within a mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering environment preferred
- Good mechanical knowledge and practical skills
- Basic IT skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work in a physically active role
