Pearson Hydraulics is looking for a General Operative to join our Lincoln team. This is a varied and hands-on position supporting our trade counter, warehouse operations, dispatch activities, and customer service function.

About the Role:

As a General Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring customers receive excellent service and that goods are accurately processed, packed, and dispatched. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, combining customer interaction, warehouse activities, order fulfilment, and logistics support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Counter Support: Deliver excellent customer service to trade counter visitors, manufacture hose assemblies when required, record customer enquiries and source products, prepare quotations for customers, assist with equipment repairs, maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Order Processing: Pick and collate customer orders accurately, ensure products are packaged safely and correctly, support efficient order fulfilment processes.
  • Dispatch & Logistics: Pack boxes and pallets for UK and export shipments, arrange deliveries using carrier booking systems, move, load, and organise stock ready for collection, support warehouse operations as required.

General Duties:

  • Follow company security procedures
  • Work in line with health and safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who is customer-focused and professional, reliable, punctual, and hard-working, organised with excellent attention to detail, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to work independently and as part of a team, flexible and willing to help wherever needed.

Skills & Experience:

  • Essential: Full UK Driving Licence, basic IT skills, good communication and customer service skills.
  • Desirable: Warehouse, stores, logistics, retail, trade counter, or distribution experience, previous customer-facing experience, FLT (Forklift Truck) licence and operating experience.

Don't have an FLT licence? Training can be provided for the right candidate.
