About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Hose Assembly Technician to strengthen our team. Your daily duties will be wide and varied from assisting at the trade counter, hose build in production, hose replacement at our workshop. Your experience will grow, and we will develop your skill set to become an integral part of our business. The successful candidate will have a background in fluid power systems and be passionate about delivering high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly, flushing & testing of hose assemblies to customer specification
- Serving at the trade counter, making hoses to pattern and ensuring all paperwork is complete
- Maintain and keep clean all work areas, ensuring all waste is stored correctly.
- Maintain dress and appearance standards wearing corporate uniform at all times of employment and maintain it in a clean and suitable condition.
- To provide support with stock orders in line with Operation Managers requirements.
- Attend all weekly/monthly staff meetings.
- Attend any training courses as deemed necessary.
- To carry out all assembly techniques as per supplier or in-house procedures
- To be aware of environmental issues associated with workshop procedures
- To have the ability to operate all hose assembly machinery and equipment
- To ensure that work areas are always maintained clean and hazard free
- To report any safety defects to the Assistant / Operations Manager immediately
- To actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices
- To be flexible in providing cover for other areas within the workshop as and when required, especially to cover absence or holidays
- Comply with company health safety policies and procedures and, as applicable, ensure safe use and maintenance of all equipment and fully utilise all safety items within the legal and H&S requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Manufacturing experience desired but not essential we offer on the job training
- Hose or Hydraulic experience is desired but not essential we offer on the job training
Job Type
- Location: Field-based role covering the North East region
- Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm 30 minutes unpaid lunch

Competitive base rate dependant on experience, bonus scheme potential, with overtime occasionally available
