RG Consultancy are working with a very well established and rapidly growing business in Stockport who are currently recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join them on a fixed term contract.
The role is newly created to support with a busy period due to company growth.
We are looking for someone on a fixed term contract for 6 months, however the role may become permanent.

- Process and post daily bank transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Review Profit & Loss (P&L) reports and investigate variances
- Assist with payment runs, ensuring accurate and timely supplier payments
- Prepare and post accruals and prepayments
- Support month-end close with journals and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and audit trails
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Resolve finance queries from suppliers and internal teams
- Assist in improving finance processes and efficiencies
Person specification
- AAT level 3 or 4 qualified would be desirable
- Experience within a senior accounts assistant or assistant accountant role
- Strong IT skills including accounting software (use of SAGE would be preferable) and MS Excel
- Ability to work well in a fast paced/high volume environment
