Salary: GBP55000 - GBP65000 per annum
RG Consultancy are working with a well-established business to recruit an experienced Sales Ledger/Credit Control Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident finance professional to take ownership of the sales ledger and credit control function, lead a team of five and play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, accurate customer accounts and effective cash collection processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the sales ledger and credit control function, ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently.
- Managing, coaching and supporting a team of five sales ledger and credit control staff, ensuring workloads are prioritised effectively.
- Overseeing customer invoicing, credit notes, receipts and account allocations to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Managing aged debt, monitoring debtor balances and ensuring outstanding payments are followed up in a timely and professional manner.
- Reviewing credit limits, assessing customer risk and ensuring credit control procedures are followed consistently.
- Acting as the escalation point for complex customer queries, working closely with internal departments and external customers to resolve issues.
- Supporting month-end processes, including debtor reporting, cash forecasting, reconciliations and other finance tasks where required.
- Monitoring team performance, reviewing processes and ensuring collection targets and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and controls across the sales ledger and credit control function.
- Assisting with internal and external audit queries by providing accurate documentation and analysis.
- Providing wider support to the finance team on ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
