We are pleased to be working with an excellent client based near Prestwich, Manchester who are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant who is looking to progress with an excellent medium sized company. You will be joining a medium sized finance team working with 6 staff members (including HR and Payroll) - so a busy office environment. This role is working closely with the financial controller and has the option for someone ambitious to be involved with month end and more management accounts duties as the role develops.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month end duties; accruals and prepayment
- Assist with fixed assets
- Assist with management accounts
- Processing high volume invoices onto the ERP system
- Matching and coding invoices
- Weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Credit card reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- Strong IT skills such as Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups and Pivot tables)
