Overview

We are working with an excellent well established business in the City Centre of Manchester who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Purchase Ledger Clerk play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function.

Responsibilities

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
  • Preparing supplier payment runs
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing records
  • Processing employee expenses where required
  • Assisting with month-end procedures
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
