Salary: GBP50000 - GBP55000 per annum. RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic manufacturing SME in Dukinfield who are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their small finance team. You will work alongside and report into the Financial Controller. This role will suit a part qualified management accountant who is studying CIMA/ACCA or a finalist looking to join a well-established stable company. Flexible working hours and some home working may be considered. 26 days holiday + 8 bank holidays. Early finish every Friday. Study support. Free onsite parking.
Role Responsibilities
- Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and clear commentary.
- Deliver timely, accurate reporting and maintain robust balance sheet controls.
- Lead the external audit process and act as key contact for auditors.
- Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with VAT, PAYE, P11Ds and other statutory requirements.
- Support budgeting and take ownership of forecasts and financial modelling.
- Provide insight to improve costs, efficiency, and profitability.
- Partner with operational teams to support decision-making and performance tracking.
- Oversee stocktakes and support standard costing.
- Drive process improvements and support systems and reporting enhancements.
Person Specification
- Strong background of working as a management accountant or similar role.
- Currently studying CIMA/ACCA or finalist is highly desirable.
- Experience working within the manufacturing sector is an advantage but not essential.
- Strong IT and accounting systems experience, advanced MS Excel.
