RG Consultancy are working with a well-established SME who are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy head office in Leyland. This is a varied, full-time role newly created to assist the Finance Manager on a day to day basis.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Accounts Assistant role will be responsible for:
- Process daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and process supplier payments and staff expense claims
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to handle queries and payment issues
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as required
This Accounts Assistant role would be ideal for someone who has experience in a small accounts team and they are able to support study for AAT.
