RG Consultancy are working with an excellent distribution company, located in Leigh who are looking for a Credit Controller to join the finance team on a full time, permanent basis. This role will be joining a medium sized finance team.
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for managing part of the credit control function, ensuring customer accounts are paid on time and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Chasing outstanding payments and unpaid invoices
- Following up on remittances and debit notes
- Handling customer queries and resolving account issues
- Cash allocation and posting payments to ledgers
- Taking card payments and allocating receipts
- Opening new customer accounts and obtaining trade references
- Running credit reports
- Monitoring customer creditworthiness
- Liaising with credit insurers and credit reference agencies
- Producing aged debt reports
- Raising invoices and credit notes when required
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous credit control and/or administration experience
- Cash allocation experience
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
Desirable
- Understanding of credit insurance processes
