RG Consultancy are working with a medium sized and fast growing construction business in Heywood who are recruiting a Sales Ledger Supervisor to join a small finance team. You will oversee and manage the Sales Ledger function and supervise a small team of two people.

The Role:

  • To oversee and manage the Sales Ledger function within the finance department
  • Ensure the accurate reporting to the accountant periodically and year end
  • To ensure the sales ledger invoices are processed, queried and reconciled
  • Responsible for the forward planning, deadline settings and ensure team are adhering to and achieving these
  • Process invoices, payments and customer related queries
  • Raising credits
  • Any adhoc duties to support the Sales Ledger/Credit Control function as required

The Person:

  • Experience within a people management or supervisory role in a finance/accounts setting
  • Leadership skills to supervise a small team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Experienced in MS Excel and SAGE is highly desirable
  • Studying towards an ACCA or CIMA qualification would be an advantage but not essential
