We are extremely proud to be supporting a well‑established distribution company in their search for a Management Accountant in this newly created role. The organisation has grown significantly over the past 5 years, doubling their turnover to around £50m. This is a client who is looking to invest in a candidate that will stay with the company long‑term, eventually taking over the Financial Controller position.
Duties:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial information and monitor monthly results and reports.
- Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior years.
- Provide commentary and insights to senior leadership and budget holders.
- Produce monthly management accounts.
- Develop financial models and perform detailed data analysis to evaluate business performance, support scenario planning, and inform strategic decisions.
- Support the finance team to ensure sales ledger, purchase ledger, daily banking etc. is all up to date.
- Work with senior managers and budget holders to ensure budgets are realistic and aligned to strategic goals.
- Monitor project costings and report on variances to expected budgets and project cashflows.
