RG Consultancy are working with a very well established and growing SME based at Trafford Park. We are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of the business, this is a number one in finance role reporting into the Managing Director.

Role Responsibilities:
- Provide financial and commercial support to the Managing Director and senior leadership team
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and statutory accounts
- Produce reports for company owners and other stakeholders
- Manage corporation tax, VAT, PAYE, and CIS compliance
- Oversee banking relationships and finance arrangements
- Manage company insurance renewals and administration
- Undertake company secretarial responsibilities
- Process and oversee payroll
- Prepare and submit Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
- Support investment appraisals and commercial decision-making
- Manage and develop the company's accounting and payroll systems
Person Specification:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or almost qualified is highly desirable
- Proven prior experience working within a financial management role within an SME
- Experience within the construction industry and knowledge of CIS is preferred
- Strong IT skills, including accounting packaging and advanced MS Excel skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to communicate effectively with non-financial employees
- Ability to manage and oversee a small team of transactional staff
