We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in the evolution of a growing business. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining people management with technical accounting expertise, system improvement and close interaction with senior stakeholders.

The Role

  • You’ll take responsibility for leading a small finance team, ensuring the smooth running of core transactional and management accounting activities while driving improvements in controls, reporting and processes.
  • As the business continues to scale, you’ll help shape a finance function that is robust, efficient and fit for the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team responsible for sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger, payroll and management accounts, stepping in operationally when needed.
  • Building team capability to meet future business demands, identifying skills gaps and supporting recruitment as the function grows.
  • Enhancing financial controls, reporting and processes.
  • Delivering accurate month-end close and performance reporting to local leadership and group finance within strict deadlines.
  • Supporting both routine and ad hoc reporting requests from central finance and private equity stakeholders.
  • Producing forecasts, budgets and cashflow projections to support business planning.
  • Playing a key role in the migration from Sage 50 to the group's chosen accounting system.

About You

You’ll be a qualified accountant with broad experience in complex, multi-environments and a proven ability to lead teams through change. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a recognised UK accounting qualification and has strong post-qualification experience.
  • Thrives under pressure and consistently delivers high-quality reporting to demanding timelines.
  • Is highly comfortable with financial systems and data, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Has a strong track record of managing, motivating and developing finance teams in fast-moving organisations.
  • Is collaborative and flexible, but confident enough to challenge and enforce strong financial discipline.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys combining leadership, technical delivery and continuous improvement in a growing business.
