We are working with an excellent company located near Batley who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join them with the view to be trained up to become a junior management accountant and report into the financial controller. You will be joining a team of 5 in finance with the opportunity to progress. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their knowledge in accounts - and would suit someone with a practice or industry background.
Duties include:
- Assisting with monthly management accounts
- Assisting with budgets and variance analysis
- Assisting with accruals, prepayments, journals and fixed asset register
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Assist with credit control activities, including debtor chasing and posting receipts
- Support purchase and sales ledger activities as required
- Posting invoices and setting up new accounts
- Prepare accurate and timely financial information upon request for members of the senior management team
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries
- Assist with payroll processing and all payroll queries
- Other adhoc duties within finance
Benefits:
- 2/3 split hybrid working (after a successful probation)
- Monday - Friday usual hours are 8am - 5pm
