RG Consultancy are proud to be working with an established and reputable client in the engineering industry who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a successful accountant looking to progress their career to the next level.
The Management Accountant role reports into the Financial Director and is responsible for the following:
- Monthly management accounts
- Analyse monthly financial results against prior periods and budget, providing meaningful commentary on variances
- Performing month-end tasks such as preparing journals for accruals, pre-payments, and fixed assets
- Preparing monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting, and managing monthly inter-company reconciliations
- Overseeing the monthly expenses process, including managing the expenses system and ensuring payment of approved expenses
- Liaising with key stakeholders
- Preparing and submitting quarterly UK VAT returns including the payment of liabilities
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Supporting internal and external audits as required and attending audit reviews with the Finance Director
- Preparing annual statutory accounts and audit packs to ensure timely submission
