RG Consultancy are working with an excellent, well established Manufacturing business in Newton Heath who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team. You will work alongside supporting the Financial Controller ensuring that financial and management accounting complies with the latest standards.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Full preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage and complete month-end processes accurately and on time
- Managing VAT returns
- Support the annual audit process
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Carry out detailed stock analysis
- Provide occasional payroll cover and oversee day to day finance processes
- Perform project margin analysis to support profitability tracking
- Complete cash book reconciliations
- Support the financial completion of projects
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Person Specification:
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong background of working as a management accountant or similar role
- Strong IT and accounting systems experience, advanced Excel
- Experience working within the manufacturing sector is an advantage but not essential
