Job Description RG Consultancy are working with a very well established professional services business in Nantwich who are currently recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their accounts team. The role is to support the company accountant with day to day accounts and admin tasks, mostly invoice processing, credit control and accounts admin duties ~25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays ~ Flexible working hours ~ Pension scheme ~ Free onsite parking ~ Life assurance Role Responsibilities Provide general administrative support to the accounts team Prepare and issue client invoices accurately and in a timely manner Monitor outstanding invoices and proactively chase overdue debts by phone and email Maintain accurate records of debt collection activity, client communications and payment arrangements Take credit card payments over the phone and process payments as required Allocate and track payments, assisting with account reconciliation Liaise with clients regarding outstanding balances and invoice queries Support the accountants with accounts administration and financial reporting Manage incoming and outgoing post and maintain organised filing systems. Assist with data entry, document preparation and other accounts-related administration. Carry out ad hoc administrative and credit control duties as required Provide general admin, reception cover and answer incoming calls as required Person Specification Previous experience working within an accounts assistant, credit control or accounts administration role Strong IT skills including accounting software, MS office and MS Excel skills Confident and strong communication skills via email and over the phone An AAT qualification or studying towards would be an advantage but no essential
