RG Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established private sector organisation in Bromborough who are looking to recruit an experienced Standalone Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and friendly finance team while gaining valuable experience within a well-established organisation. You will report in the finance director, but this is the main POC for payroll.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 900 employees (monthly payroll)
- Enter, update, and validate all payroll data including new starters, leavers, changes to contracts, and absence records.
- Calculate and process statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and holiday pay entitlement.
- Ensure correct application of PAYE, National Insurance, student loans, and pension deductions.
- Prepare and issue payslips, payroll summaries, and year-end documentation (including P60, P45, and P11D).
- Maintain up-to-date records relating to auto-enrolment pensions, processing opt-ins, opt-outs, and contribution changes.
- Liaise with HMRC and external stakeholders regarding payroll queries and statutory submissions.
- Support HR and managers by responding promptly to payroll-related queries.
- Carry out general administrative and telephone duties as required.
