RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with a successful engineering company to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this role is ideal for an AAT part-qualified or qualified candidate looking to develop their career within a collaborative team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes: accruals, prepayments, adjustments
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
- Support budgeting and variance analysis
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
- Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirements
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders
Studying towards or qualified in AAT. Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
